SAP SR FUNCTIONAL ANALYST MDM

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Analyze customers’ business requirements and tailor the use of the system to meet those objectives.
  2. Identify and understand end users' technical SAP requirements across functions.
  3. Build and maintain strong end‑user relationships as a single point of contact for all SAP and IT‑related matters.
  4. Document and analyze software and/or system functional requirements from key stakeholders.
  5. Develop project plans and timelines to successfully deploy solutions.
  6. Install and configure SAP Business One to meet each client’s individual requirements.
  7. Assist with data conversion.
  8. Provide end‑user training and ongoing customer support.
  9. Liaise with key business users for business requirements and translate them into SAP requirements.
  10. Liaise with all aspects of production procurement, testing, and implementation.
  11. Work with SAP developers to custom‑make SAP Modules to meet the business requirements of buy/sell operations.
  12. Provide strategic consultancy support to assigned customers in defining or designing business processes and researching and identifying enabling technologies based on customer requirements.
  13. Document existing customer business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements for these systems.
  14. Proactively seek ways to apply technology to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends and competitors’ practices relevant to the assigned client business.
  15. Partner with customers to develop business case justification for application projects.
  16. Identify customer business requirements for significant enhancements to existing systems and for new development projects.
  17. Translate requirements into business rules and user interfaces.
  18. Coordinate systems design efforts with end‑user interactions.
  19. Develop, document, and maintain best practices, project standards, procedures, application, quality objectives and lessons learned, including metrics for assessing progress.
  20. Ensure that application systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.
  21. Develop and deliver training on and emphasize the use of established project standards, methodology, and quality objectives.
  22. Monitor and report on the status of multiple concurrent project efforts.
  23. Proactively review and interpret performance against operating plans and standards.
  24. Provide information and reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approve changes in plans.
  25. Present reports on project performance, changes, enhancements, scope variations, and other related matters and/or participate in key management activities and committees advising IS senior management and business unit project sponsors accordingly.
  26. Perform other projects as assigned by management.
MINIMUM EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline with an information technology focus.
  • Certification: SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Sales 1809 Upskilling.
  • Experience performing in a Senior Consultant role for 4+ projects.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in functional analyst positions.
  • 8 years of combined experience in each of the following: strategic planning, analysis, and management consulting to include relationship management and resource management.
  • 8 years of experience advising the client and project team on the merits and demerits of different solution approaches in sight and recommending the best solution from a technical feasibility point of view.
  • 6 years of hands‑on experience with SAP.
  • 6 years of experience in SAP MDM (Master Data Management) module, including working on large‑scale (greater than 6 months of effort) SAP projects.
  • 6 years of experience conducting workshops to capture business requirements for SAP S4 MDG/MDM (Master Data Governance/Master Data Management).
  • 6 years of combined experience in each of the following Master Data Domains: customer, vendor, financials, materials, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
  • 6 years of experience creating an integration test plan using MDG/MDM with Data Services Information Steward and S4 backend.
  • 6 years of experience gathering requirements and setting up a fully functional development, test, and production environment to deliver MDG/MDM.
  • 6 years of experience providing solutions for end‑to‑end Master Data Governance (MDG), Conversion & Integration including Master Data Management, Data governance, Data profiling, Extract, cleanse, map & transform, and load the data into target systems using various SAP tools (SAP ECC, SAP MDG/UI, SAP BRF+, SAP BODS, SAP ABAP, SAP PI/XI, ALE/IDOC).
  • Any suitable combination of education, training, and professional work experience is acceptable.
  • Experience may be gained concurrently.
  • Requires approximately 25% travel to domestic company worksite locations.
