Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our food manufacturing client to start immediately at $33-$40/hr DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Mechanic Level II is a skilled, mid-level position responsible for ensuring consistent plant operations through advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Compared to Level I technicians, individuals in this role operate with greater independence, managing a wider scope of responsibilities and handling moderately complex tasks with limited supervision. This position supports optimal equipment performance, adheres to safety and food quality standards, utilizes CMMS systems for work tracking, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

  • Perform a broad range of tasks, including diagnosing and repairing issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Execute moderately complex preventive and predictive maintenance using various diagnostic and measurement tools.
  • Identify and resolve equipment failures promptly to reduce production downtime.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document maintenance activities and manage work orders.
  • Provide occasional technical support and guidance to junior or less experienced team members.

Location: East Chicago, IN

Schedule/Shift Details: 3rd Shift, 10:30PM-6AM

  • Overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
  • Basic familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to meet production timelines and perform effectively under pressure
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts, including weekends as needed
  • Ability to stand, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods (10–12 hours as required)
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated conditions (32–36 °F)
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the workday
