Job description

Our client is a trading firm with over 30 years of experience, using advanced technology and skilled people to work in markets around the world. They're based in Chicago, but have offices across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia. They trade in various asset types, such as Fixed Income, Equities, ETFs, Commodities, and FX.
Your Role:
  • Undertake the full development cycle of applications and libraries aimed at trading strategy execution, risk management, and trade reporting using C#.
  • Develop and uphold systems to guarantee application performance, integrity, and reliability, ensuring maximum uptime and traceability to assist in the support of mission-critical production systems.
  • Foster collaboration with quantitative researchers, traders, and other developers.
  • Design, develop, and deploy software, making use of agile methodologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers on industry best practices through guidance, pair programming, and code reviews.
  • Offer production support, maintain and improve the performance of existing systems.
  • Evaluate emerging technology and refine technology stack. This role is centered in Chicago office.

Your Skills:
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or possesses relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with .Net C#.
  • Thorough knowledge of C# UI development and tooling.
  • Familiarity with Python is a plus.
  • Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced environment that continuously adopts the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to read and write high and mid-level architectural documentation.
