Job description

Grade Y: Mid-Level CNC Machinist

Experience: 2-5 years

Responsibilities: Advanced operation and programming of CNC machines, troubleshooting issues, training junior machinists, and improving production processes.

Skills:

·         Standard understanding of CNC machine operation

·         Proficient in speeds and feeds for aluminum and plastics

·         Needs occasional help with feeds and speeds on other materials

·         Advanced blueprint reading and interpretation

·         Datums, positional callouts, max and min material conditions

·         Standard Level Experience with CAD/CAM software (Fusion)

·         Can create 3+2 5 axis tool paths and all milling 3D surfacing tool paths or can create all turning tool paths and all milling 3D surfacing tool paths

·         Knows most tool paths (excluding simultaneous multi-axis machining)

·         Can design fixtures and edit models without help

·         Ability to set up and adjust CNC machines for different tasks

·         Can operate either turning centers and 3 axis mills

·         Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

·         Ability to train and mentor entry-level machinists

·         Knowledge of advanced measuring tools and techniques
