This is a highly detailed residential restoration project involving an architect, specialty trades, inspections, and careful coordination of the reconstruction process. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the job site and can maintain a high standard of workmanship from start through completion.

The Superintendent will be assigned to this project full-time, five days per week, and is expected to be physically present at the job site each working day.

Responsibilities
  • Be physically present on the project site 5 days per week
  • Manage and oversee daily job-site operations
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries, and daily work schedules
  • Ensure subcontractors arrive as scheduled and maintain production
  • Verify work is being completed according to plans, specifications, approved scope, and quality standards
  • Work closely with the architect, Project Manager, management, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Review plans and specifications and identify potential conflicts before work is performed
  • Maintain a high level of quality control, particularly for architectural details and finishes
  • Monitor project schedule and actively prevent delays
  • Coordinate and prepare the project for required inspections
  • Verify completed work before allowing the next phase or trade to proceed
  • Identify construction issues, deficiencies, or deviations and immediately communicate them to the Project Manager and management
  • Maintain daily documentation of job progress, including photographs, subcontractor activity, completed work, delays, and outstanding issues
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and safe job site
  • Assist with project closeout, punch-list completion, and final inspections
  • Take day-to-day ownership of keeping the project moving toward its required completion deadline
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Job Site Superintendent is required
  • Strong residential construction experience required
  • Experience with high-end residential construction, custom homes, major remodels, or fire restoration strongly preferred
  • Experience working from architectural plans and detailed construction documents
  • Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing and building trades
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and hold trades accountable for schedule and workmanship
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Experience coordinating inspections and working with building departments
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to identify construction problems before they become costly rework
  • Must be dependable and comfortable being assigned to one project on-site full-time
Compensation

Between $90,000 - $130,000 annual salary

Additional performance/completion bonus opportunity may be available for successfully completing the project ahead of the established deadline while maintaining required quality standards.

Position Structure

This Superintendent will serve as the day-to-day on-site leader for the project and will report directly to management.

A Project Manager will also be assigned to the project and will provide support with overall project management, administration, budgeting, and coordination. The Superintendent's primary responsibility will be controlling and overseeing what happens in the field every day.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential Superintendent who enjoys highly detailed construction and wants to take ownership of a unique restoration project from reconstruction through final completion.
