Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ.
This role will be responsible for helping define a target state architecture and an implementation plan for a critical trading application. The resource will also be involved in supporting the application to ensure that it continues to meet strict performance and resiliency requirements in a real-time, distributed environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Help define a target state architecture and an implementation plan for a critical application
  • Support the application to ensure that it continues to meet strict performance and resiliency requirements

Requirements:
  • Expert level Java developer
  • Hands-on experience with real-time, distributed applications, preferably trading systems
  • Experience with high-performance JAVA and real-time systems
  • Experience with messaging applications like Kafka or AMPS
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Proactive and requiring limited oversight

Desired skills:
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing and containerizing applications
  • An understanding of derivatives, traded products, and trading systems

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
