is seeking a motivated Mid-Level Project Engineer to support our expanding operations in the Hinton, West Virginia area. Position Overview

The Project Engineer provides critical support to the Project Manager and Superintendent throughout all phases of construction. Responsibilities include project documentation, contract administration, schedule updates, change order preparation, vendor and subcontractor coordination, production tracking, quantity verification, progress billing support, estimating, resource planning, and procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and maintain project documentation.
  • Assist in developing project estimates and proposals.
  • Solicit pricing and quotations from suppliers and vendors.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, quality control teams, field personnel, and company leadership.
  • Support the planning and execution of transportation and highway construction projects, including roadway, bridge, drainage, and utility installations.
  • Maintain organized project records while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Apply strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and construction specifications.
  • Strong analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with careful attention to detail and the capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and willingness to respond to changing project requirements.
  • Familiarity with transportation or highway construction practices and DOT standards is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate based on project assignments.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Two to five years of experience in a Project Engineer or similar construction management role.
  • Experience in heavy civil, transportation, or geotechnical construction is preferred. Relevant project experience may include highways, bridges, asphalt or concrete paving, drainage infrastructure, mass concrete, post-tensioning, dams, drilled shafts, soil nails, caissons, tiebacks, shotcrete, slurry walls, or related construction methods.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, around high voltage, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a federal contractor.
