PE Debt Finance Associate | Washington, DC | Mid-Level Our AmLaw 100 client is adding a mid-level debt finance associate to support sponsor-side and lender-side leveraged finance work tied to buyouts, acquisition financings, and growth deals. Role Summary • Represent private equity sponsors and/or banks and private credit lenders on term and revolving facilities • Draft and negotiate commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documentation • Run key deal workstreams and coordinate with corporate and sponsor teams through signing and closing Candidate Profile • Mid-level associate with leveraged finance reps (LBO, acquisition finance, growth facilities) • Strong drafting in credit docs and comfort negotiating directly with counterparties • Bar admission (or ability to obtain promptly) required Why This Role • A debt finance platform built around sponsor and lender work, with repeat deal flow in the innovation economy • Chambers-recognized capabilities in banking and finance, with depth in private equity-adjacent financings • Deal exposure that stays substantive, not just turn-the-doc assignments
