The Waldinger Corporation  has an opportunity for a qualified Estimator in our Springfield Office.


Job Summary:
Conducts high-level estimation and leads bidding process for small to mid-scale construction projects.


Responsibilities:
• Estimating: Prepare proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Attend pre-bid meetings and/or tour jobs sites to confirm requisite take-offs. Prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work using computerized estimating software
• Database Management: Maintains database of project history and results. Ensures accuracy and integrity of system software, providing all users with updated information.
• Procedures: Develops conceptual plan and specification bid procedures and standards to improve consistency and efficiency of the estimating process.
• Client Bid Management: Develops successful client relationships, marketing company products and services. Solicits bid schedules from general contractors.


Requirements:
•3-5 years estimating experience in HVAC, Sheet Metal, and Piping

•Working knowledge of multiple disciplines, estimating techniques and cost control

•Proficiency with computerized estimating software and ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems

•Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
•Associate's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Technical Training Program Completion
