Systems Engineer with Strong Java Experience, TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance is Required, Annapolis Junction, MD
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with strong Java experience. The Systems Engineer will design and develop modular components for advanced government applications. Collaborate on complex SIGINT and multimedia solutions, leveraging your developer skill set in Java, Node/TypeScript, and React. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot, design, and implement solutions that support critical missions. This role requires a balance of technical engineering principles and strong communication skills to present and document complex ideas. This position is 100% Onsite and not Remote. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Poly security clearance.
Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing modular components for broader application use.
- Collaborating on troubleshooting, implementing, and solving system challenges.
- Creating system architecture diagrams and documentation following customer standards.
- Briefing and presenting your findings and solutions to stakeholders.
- Supporting system integration for multimedia and SIGINT applications.
Systems Engineer Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in related discipline and 14 or more years of relevant experience. 5 years of additional experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
- Senior-level Java Developer experience.
- Experience with Node/TypeScript and junior- to mid-level React development.
- Proven Linux background.
- Experience with designing and developing modular components used in other applications.
- Success troubleshooting and solving complex problems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including experience with presentations, briefings, and technical documentation.
- Senior-level experience with signal processing of audio/video content is a plus.
- Knowledge of multimedia file/streaming formats, audio/video compression is a plus.
- Familiarity with SIGINT data flow is a plus.
- Mid-level Python development skills are a plus.
- Experience with web traffic analysis and DevOps pipelines (junior- to mid-level) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services is a plus.
