Embedded C Software Engineer - Junior to Mid level - Direct hire - Hybrid in Burlington

Our client is looking for an Embedded C Software Engineer to join their engineering team and develop reliable, high-performance embedded software. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware and solving challenging software problems.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain embedded software using C/C++
  • Work closely with electrical, firmware, and systems engineers
  • Develop software for microcontrollers and embedded platforms
  • Debug and troubleshoot software at the hardware level
  • Participate in architecture, design, testing, and code reviews
  • Work with communication protocols, peripherals, and device drivers
  • Support the full software development lifecycle

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience developing embedded software in C
  • Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS, or bare-metal development
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software interfaces
  • Experience debugging embedded systems using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
