In this hybrid role, you will support the electrical group, working as part of multidisciplinary project teams to provide electrical engineering and related technical expertise. Work will include integrating process, mechanical, and control requirements into comprehensive electrical systems. This person will also be responsible for managing projects, coaching and mentoring less-experienced staff, providing technical leadership, managing teams to meet clients' needs, and conducting business development activities. The work may involve short-term, out-of-town assignments.

  • Software: Microsoft Office.

  • Driver's license: possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr Engineering, now or in the future.

Helpful additional experience (not required)

  • 10+ years of related experience.

  • Experience with AutoCAD.

  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, laws, and regulations applicable to the project assignments described above.

  • Demonstrated project organization and management skills.

  • Experience with SKM Power Tools or E-Tap software for coordination and arc flash studies.

  • Client-relationship and business-development skills.

  • Experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming software.

  • Experience with start-up and commissioning of industrial projects.

Applicants may be asked to participate in a drug screening program at the request of specific clients. Candidates must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
