Job description

Description

Seeking multiple Installation & Cable Technicians for projects in Ames, Des Moines, IA, and surrounding areas. Travel is required, and a per diem is provided for travel assignments. Candidates should have a minimum of six months of low-voltage experience; however, individuals with relevant technical knowledge and hands-on training will also be considered.

Responsibilities include installing data racks and cabinets, running and terminating Cat6 and coaxial cable, mounting faceplates, and performing testing and labeling. Technicians will also assist with setting up DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes in individual rooms, as well as supporting the buildout of server/network closets.

Work will take place both indoors and outdoors, primarily at schools and apartment complexes. Occasional duties may include trench digging and directional drilling. Technicians will follow guidance and direction provided by project leads.
