Job description

This role involves spearheading initiatives to optimize system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency while driving innovation in DevOps practices. You will build and oversee a world-class DevOps organization, align strategies with business objectives, and ensure the success of major technology initiatives, including releases and upgrades.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Define and execute overall DevOps strategy
  • Build and manage high-performing DevOps team
  • Lead major releases and upgrades
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure system reliability and cost-efficiency

Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute the enterprise-wide DevOps strategy, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing DevOps organization, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Foster strong partnerships with engineering, product, and business leaders to align DevOps goals with company priorities.
  • Spearhead, own, and be fully accountable for the planning, execution, and success of major technology initiatives, including releases and upgrades.

Enterprise Process Optimization and Automation
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, reliable, and secure software delivery at scale.
  • Drive enterprise-wide automation initiatives for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of DevOps practices and continuously identify areas for improvement.

Infrastructure and Security
  • Provide executive oversight of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Champion security best practices, including access controls, patching, and DevSecOps integration, to safeguard infrastructure and data.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, positioning the organization as a leader in security and compliance.

Operational Resilience
  • Develop and maintain robust backup, recovery, and failover strategies to ensure business continuity.Oversee disaster recovery planning, testing, and validation to prepare the organization for potential disruptions.
  • Lead the organization in reducing incident frequency and impact through proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Monitoring and Tooling
  • Own enterprise-level monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., DataDog, ELK) to ensure system health and performance.
  • Evaluate, adopt, and implement new tools and technologies to enhance the organization's DevOps capabilities.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
  • Ensure alignment of infrastructure strategies with application needs by collaborating with development, operations, and security teams.
  • Promote transparency and knowledge sharing by documenting infrastructure processes, configurations, and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Hybrid Cloud Administration with VMWare and AWS and beneficial as well in Azure
  • Strong communication written and verbal

Preferred Skills
  • Certifications in relevant areas such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps methodologies.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience driving enterprise-level technology transformations.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions.

Required Experience
  • Proven success in a senior leadership role, such as Director or equivalent, overseeing large-scale DevOps organizations.
  • Extensive experience leading CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps automation strategies in complex hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, compliance standards, and modern security practices.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration at the executive level.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience driving enterprise-level technology transformations.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions.

Regular Working hours : 40 Hrs per week. Occasional off hours nights and weekends
