Job description

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, replace and calibrate instrumentation on compression, gathering, treating and processing equipment, and control equipment such as PLCs, temperature scanners, engine annunciators, compressor panel boards and ignition controllers.

  • Install, maintain, repair, replace and calibrate instrumentation, plant controllers, recorders and indicators (pneumatic and electric), chromatograph analyzers, and gas detectors (portable and stationary).

  • Install conduit and wiring to electrical devices, in plants, compressor stations and other gathering, treating and processing facilities.

  • Install, maintain repair and calibrate Ph, Conductivity, ORP, gas flow and dew point meters and collect meter data.

  • Assist in new construction and modification to processing, treating, compressor stations and gathering equipment. Also assist in the startup of this equipment.

  • Complete periodic maintenance and annual safety checks on equipment shuts downs for processing, compressor, treating and gathering equipment.

  • Support operating personnel in daily activities of operating processing, treating, compression and gathering systems.

  • Attend and participate in safety meetings, incident audits and safety and environmental audits.

  • Occasionally asked to supervise and inspect the work of outside vendors and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of plant I&E experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical design standards.

  • Safe work record and knowledge of OSHA safety practices

  • Be results-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work.

  • Be forward-thinking with the ability to think creatively and help develop recommended solutions.

Physical Requirements and Conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally heavier weights with assistance.

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders or stairs.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas, including scaffolding or platforms.

  • Manual dexterity and coordination required to operate tools, equipment, and instruments with precision.

  • Vision and hearing must be sufficient to perform diagnostics and detect equipment anomalies.

  • Primarily field-based role at gas plants, compressor stations, and related outdoor facilities.

  • Exposure to variable weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind.

  • Work involves exposure to noise, dust, fumes, pressurized systems, and potentially hazardous chemicals.

  • Must always adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance procedures.

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as flame-resistant clothing (FRC), safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, and steel-toed boots.

  • Must follow all Mustang Fuel Corporation safety procedures and report potential hazards or incidents immediately.
