*Night Shift Premium (for overnight shifts): $1.50 in addition to base rate.

Purpose

Perform advanced electric and electronic maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and equipment improvements, providing permanent support in emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Commit with health, safety and environmental policies and notify situations that present potential risk.        
  • Ensure product quality complying with defined standards and reporting deviations.         Carry out duties in an efficient manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards in accordance with minimum costs.        
  • Perform activities according to applicable procedures.
  • Complete and update all applicable records ensuring information accuracy and product traceability.        
  • Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning.                        
  • Attend and collaborate in training activities to maintain and increase the company knowledge.        
  • Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain a clean and ordered workplace.
  • Perform activities understanding their consequences on the global process.
  • Abide by Tenaris discipline norms.        

Main Activities

  • Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced electric and electronic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
  • Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.
  • Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions.
  • Carries out repairs and improvements on large electrical engines, low and mid voltage panels and protection systems.
  • Intervenes in sensors control loops and in variable speed drives.
  • Interprets electrical drawings.
  • Calibrates and performs adjustments in electronic instruments and industrial PCs.
  • Verifies and ensures the availability of resources and spare parts needed for the execution of programmed tasks.
  • Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications.
  • Cooperates with the Base Group in preventive activities.
  • Interacts with other areas.
  • Carries out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable.
  • Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.

Profile (Minimum requirements)

  • Completed High School or 5 years of experience in the company or entry level exam approved.
