What You'll Work On
  • Lead plan production for roadway and freeway design using MicroStation/Geopak and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Collaborate with MDOT, local agencies, consultants, and contractors.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals.
  • Apply engineering expertise and specialized software to solve complex transportation challenges.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design services.
  • Prepare quantities and construction cost estimates for bidding.
  • Support storm sewer drainage design, pavement markings, signing plans, and maintenance of traffic plans.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE license required.
  • 8+ years of experience in roadway engineering, especially with MDOT and local agency projects.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation/ORD is essential.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HY8, and StormCAD is a plus.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Desire to coordinate and collaborate with junior staff
  • Ability to travel to project and client sites as needed.
