Job description

The Software Developer will participate in an agile team working with offshore, remote and local Team Partners to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions within but not limited to Microsoft technologies.

  • Creates quality deliverables that follow Unifirst standards and best practices

  • Collaborate with product owners to analyze requirements and design effective technical solutions

  • Create solution architectures, workflow diagrams, and integration strategies for enterprise applications

  • Evaluate tools, platforms, and vendor technologies to ensure alignment with organizational standards

  • Deliver solutions that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration or system issues across multiple environments

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing workflows and reduce manual processes using AI and/or Industry best practices

  • Deliver solutions that comply with security, regulatory, and governance standards

  • Collaborate with data teams to improve data quality, consistency, and reporting

  • Contribute feedback to IT leadership and product owners to influence future technology strategy

  • Partner with infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure proper deployment and monitoring

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles

  • Travel to UniFirst locations (Minimal, 1-2 times per year)

  • Other duties as assigned
     

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years related application development experience
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft's .NET development platforms
  • Significant experience with C# Experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment with Azure DevOps
  • Experience in Microsoft Web and Mobile Applications development (UWP, Xamarin Forms, MAUI)
  • Experience with SQL Server, SSIS/DTSX and SSRS
  • Experience writing unit tests with frameworks such as nunit/xunit, etc.
  • Working experience working in an agile team using Scrum/Kanban methodology
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and efficiently
  •  Ability to travel to UniFirst locations (1-2 times per year)
