Network Engineer / Network Architecture – Junior, Mid-Level & Senior (3 Openings) – Q Clearance Required

Summary:
We are hiring for three (3) Network Engineering and Network Architecture positions at different experience levels: Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior. These roles support the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network and application environments across UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, database, client-server, and cloud technologies. Candidates will work with technical teams and end users to support network communications, evaluate and improve network systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the development and maintenance of secure, reliable IT environments.

The level of responsibility, technical independence, and leadership will vary based on experience.

Location:
Washington, DC or Gaithersburg, MD

Salary:
Up to $199,000, commensurate with experience and position level

Clearance:
Active Q Clearance Required

Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Three (3) Openings:

Senior Network Engineer / Network Architect (Level IV):

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of general IT experience, including at least five (5) years of specialized experience in UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, and cloud environments.
  • Experience assisting with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of network communications and enterprise network environments.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN and cloud networking technologies.
  • Experience designing and installing internal and external networks.
  • Experience testing and evaluating network systems to identify problems, improve performance, and enhance reliability.
  • Experience with relational databases and client-server concepts.
  • Strong experience with UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, and cloud environments.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and contribute to network architecture and design decisions.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and recommend effective solutions.

Mid-Level Network Administrator / Network Engineer (Level III):

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience reviewing, analyzing, modifying, testing, debugging, and installing programming systems supporting organizational application systems.
  • Experience consulting with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify system and application objectives.
  • Experience documenting program development, system logic, coding, corrections, installation, and operating procedures.
  • Experience developing technical and user documentation, including installation and operating manuals.
  • Experience with relational databases and client-server concepts.
  • Working experience with UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, and cloud environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and support network and application environments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with users, developers, network engineers, and other technical teams.

Junior Network Administrator / Network Engineer (Level II):

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience reviewing, analyzing, modifying, testing, debugging, and installing programming systems supporting organizational application systems.
  • Experience consulting with users to understand operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • Experience documenting program development, system logic, coding, and corrections.
  • Experience developing or maintaining user documentation and installation and operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and client-server concepts.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, and cloud environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine technical issues with guidance from senior technical staff.
  • Ability to learn and apply network, systems, and application support processes.
  • Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
