Position Overview
The Arizona Department of Education is seeking an experienced .NET Full-Stack Developer to develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain statewide web applications and backend processes supporting Arizona's K-12 education systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern full-stack development. Experience with .NET 6+, Blazor, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and unit test new application features and web applications. 
  • Review business requirements and technical design specifications. 
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects. 
  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Microsoft technologies. 
  • Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, QA, Operations, and leadership. 
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. 
  • Participate in software design discussions and code reviews. 
  • Provide development estimates and support project planning. 
  • Coordinate with Network Services and Operations teams for environments and deployments. 
  • Support application builds, deployments, maintenance, and production releases. 
  • Apply software design patterns, SOLID principles, and development best practices. 
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical issues. 
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of professional software application development experience. 
  • Strong C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core 3.1+ experience. 
  • ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages. 
  • Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap. 
  • Advanced Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID design principles. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Application Services, Azure Functions, and Storage Accounts. 
  • Strong SQL Server development, stored procedures, functions, and relational database modeling. 
  • Power BI development including semantic models, reports, dashboards, and visualizations. 
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, or other source control/work management tools. 
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and business teams.
