Location (city, state): Mendenhall, MS – 100% In Office

Compensation: $20–$24/hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and process accurate invoices using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or another ERP system.
  • Review and process billing documents and forms accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Organize, analyze, and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel on a daily basis.
  • Utilize Excel formulas, including IF statements, nested IF statements, arithmetic, and basic statistical functions, to perform calculations and improve efficiency.
  • Manage multiple spreadsheets and assist with creating interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and identify overdue accounts.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies and billing-related issues.
  • Respond to email inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Provide administrative and accounting support as needed and assist with special projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the AR Manager and other members of the accounting and operations teams.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of Accounts Receivable, billing, or related accounting experience.
  • Construction industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience creating invoices using Sage, QuickBooks, or another ERP/accounting system.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with formulas and manipulating data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of accounting terminology and principles.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in multiple systems and software packages.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
