Job Title: Microsoft SCCM Engineer

Location: 2 Broadway, NY

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description: This position is Hybrid with 3 days of onsite and 2 days of remote.

Definitions:

System Center Configuration Manager, SCCM is a software management suite provided by Microsoft which allows users to manage Windows based computers. SCCM features remote control, patch management, operating system deployment, network protection and other various services.

This temporary support staff will provide 365-day support for (SCCM, OS Deployments, Imaging, Citrix, Application Packaging and troubleshooting, Software Cataloging, Service Now integration, AD, OMS, Office 365, Azure, SailPoint, processes and procedures). MTA-IT supports 30,000 computers and Laptops. These are the most critical tools for infrastructure and for MTA-IT to meet its vison of delivering cost effective, reliable and best-in-class service to our users.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Back-end Infrastructure Management
  • Active Directory / SCCM Related Management c. WSUS Administration d. Group Policy Management e. OSD f. Cloud Technologies; Azure, AWS g. VM Ware / Hyper-V h. Troubleshooting (Server, DB, Client, etc. issues) i. Database Management and Reporting j. Creation and Administration of SCCM Dashboard (Power BI) k. Assistance with Asset Inventory Licensing l. New/Future Technologies and Enhancements (Other System Center Products, SCOM, Power Management, Cloud, etc.) m. Server Patching n. Desktop Patching o. AV Support and Updates p. Review and Test All Patches (Staging/Prod) q. Manage third party Patch Management r. Deployments/State – Reporting

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • 7+ years of consulting experience designing and delivering Microsoft infrastructure solutions Strong knowledge and experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, Messaging Architectures, Systems Management with System Center, and Window 10 or Windows 11 desktop transformations.
  • Windows Desktop Migration (Windows design/migrations, MDT, DDPS, MDOP, APP-V, OSD, and Application Packaging and Compatibility Assessment, Office Suite Migrations) • Active Directory and PowerShell Scripting
  • Intune • AVD, Nerdio
  • System Center Suite – SCCM
  • Experience in engineering or architecture role on End User and Collaboration Technology including Microsoft Windows, SCCM, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Sharepoint, and MS TEAMS, Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Desktop and Application Virtualization technologies such as VMWare View Workstation, and VMware ThinApp
  • Experience with endpoint encryption software, such as Bitlocker and CrowdStrike
  • Experience with 3rd party migration tools such as QMM (Quest/Dell Migration Manager)
  • Strong understanding of network protocols/services and network infrastructures
  • Detailed understanding of, and experience with, ITIL processes
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint current version
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project current version
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; a self-starter
  • must’ve 7+ years of experience in an Enterprise level System Center/Cloud Architect role for an organization with multiple sites and business units.
