Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage enterprise Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environments for a federal government IT program. You will perform database administration activities, drive performance optimization and security compliance, collaborate with DBA staff, and ensure high availability of mission-critical data systems in a cloud-hosted environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform enterprise Oracle and SQL Server database administration in a federal IT environment
  • Architect, optimize, and maintain high-availability database configurations
  • Implement database security controls, access management, and data integrity enforcement
  • Manage backup/recovery operations with quarterly validation testing
  • Execute SQL tuning, data integration, and ETL/SSIS support activities
  • Develop and maintain contingency plans and business impact analyses for database systems
  • Support disaster recovery and continuity of operations exercises
  • Collaborate with and support junior DBA staff

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Security Clearance: minimum T3 required
  • Bachelor's degree OR Oracle 19c/SQL Server certification OR 5+ years of DBA experience
  • Proven expertise in Oracle 19c+ and Microsoft SQL Server administration
  • Experience with high-availability database configurations (clustering, mirroring, replication)
  • Strong SQL tuning and performance optimization skills
