Interns typically work on real-world cloud projects, learning about Azure services, networking, security, and cloud development. This internship helps build technical skills, industry knowledge, and prepares candidates for cloud-related careers.

What do Microsoft Azure interns do?

As a Microsoft Azure intern, you can expect to work on hands-on projects ranging from deploying and managing cloud resources to assisting in the development of cloud-based applications or automating processes using Azure tools. Interns often collaborate closely with engineering or IT teams to support migrations, optimize systems for scalability, or contribute to security and compliance efforts. You may also assist in testing new features, creating technical documentation, or supporting end-users in troubleshooting issues. This variety provides a well-rounded exposure to cloud computing while building practical, resume-boosting experience.

What skills and qualifications are needed for a Microsoft Azure internship?

A Microsoft Azure Internship typically requires foundational knowledge of cloud computing principles, programming languages like Python or C#, and familiarity with Azure services, usually gained through coursework or personal projects. Job description

About the Role
Are you looking to launch your career in IT? DSI is seeking an enthusiastic Help Desk Administrator / Junior Systems Engineer to join our Corporate IT team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of IT support experience who want to build a career in systems administration and cloud technologies.
You'll split your time between providing exceptional technical support to employees and working alongside experienced Systems Engineers on Microsoft infrastructure, automation, and cloud-based projects. If you're eager to learn, enjoy solving technical problems, and want a clear path to becoming a Systems Engineer, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Help Desk Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee IT requests via the ticketing system, phone, chat, and in person.
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 laptops and desktops, Microsoft 365 applications, printers, and basic network connectivity issues.
  • Set up new employee computers, install software, and assist with onboarding.
  • Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Document support requests and maintain accurate asset inventory.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when needed.
Systems Engineering Development
  • Assist senior engineers with maintaining Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure environments.
  • Help manage Microsoft Intune device policies and endpoint management.
  • Participate in system patching, updates, and security initiatives.
  • Learn basic PowerShell scripting and automation techniques.
  • Assist with infrastructure improvements and IT projects while developing hands-on engineering experience.
What We're Looking For
  • 1–2 years of IT support experience, internship, or related technical experience.
  • Recent graduates with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and computer hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory is preferred.
  • Understanding basic networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and TCP/IP.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work well in a team environment.
  • Passion for technology and a desire to grow into a Systems Engineer role.
Preferred Education & Certifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience/certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft MD-102, AZ-900) preferred.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or Autopilot.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience using an IT ticketing system.
  • Basic PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Interest in cybersecurity, cloud computing, or IT automation.
Why Join DSI?
  • Learn directly from experienced Systems Engineers through hands-on mentorship.
  • Gain exposure to Microsoft enterprise technologies including Azure, Intune, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Work on real infrastructure projects—not just Help Desk tickets.
  • Clear career progression into Systems Engineering and Cloud Engineering roles.
  • Professional development support, including Microsoft training and certification opportunities.
  • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative team environment where you'll be encouraged to learn and grow.
