Job description

Overview

Harper College Community Education seeks a Part-Time Technology instructor to facilitate classes and design curriculum. Classes may include (but are not limited to) Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows 11, Tableau, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology Career Exploration, and Computer Skills for Beginners. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technology and the ability to effectively teach adult learners with varying levels of experience using innovative and engaging strategies. 

Courses are short-term and can be offered multiple times throughout a typical academic semester. This part-time role includes teaching daytime, evening, and weekend classes, either live online and/or in-person at Harper College Main Campus (Palatine) or Harper College Learning and Career Center (Prospect Heights). Whether a class will run depends on enrollment.
