Job description

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Aerospace Solderer - 1st Shift to join our team in Bethel, CT!
The hours for this role are 7 am - 3:30 pm, M-F.
The hourly range for this position is $24-$30 per hour.

What you'll do:
The Solderer (White Room) is responsible for soldering and reworking very small and intricate products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional hand dexterity along with a working knowledge in reading, interpreting, and utilizing technical procedures and blueprints. The individual must be comfortable working in a team environment. This position is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere.
In this role, you will:
• Solder electro-mechanical components under a microscope and/or a magnifying glass.
• Assemble, setup and maintain tooling.
• Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability.
• Perform visual inspection of parts.
• Maintain quality records.
• Interpret customer and supplier requirements.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of soldering experience.

  • Ability to follow written instructions, visual aids, sketches and blueprints.
  • Ability to work using a microscope for long periods of time.
  • Ability to successfully solder to the acceptability requirements of J-STD-001
