Global Future of Supply Chain

As Member Technical Staff, Supply Chain Innovation, you will lead the identification, evaluation, and incubation of capabilities. These capabilities will build future competitive advantage across Micron's entire supply chain network. The right candidate will transform how Micron's supply chain operates through innovation, emerging technologies, and new ways of working.

In this role, you will establish and manage a portfolio of innovation opportunities, drive structured evaluation of new technologies and business practices, and lead proof-of-concept activities that help the organization rapidly learn and make informed investment decisions. You will work across Global Supply Chain, Technology, Operations, and business teams to build a strong innovation community and influence the strategic direction of Micron's supply chain capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Future of advancements in the supply chain portfolio for Micron's global supply chain ecosystem.

  • Develop and maintain a technology radar focused on emerging trends, technologies, and business capabilities.

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities that may improve supply chain performance, resilience, agility, and efficiency.

  • Develop and coordinate processes for innovation intake, assessment, experimentation, and recommendation.

  • Manage proof-of-concept activities and pilot programs to validate emerging capabilities.

  • Build and facilitate a cross-functional innovation community that contributes ideas, expertise, and experimentation efforts.

  • Partner with internal and external collaborators, including industry organizations, technology providers, startups, research institutions, and academic partners.

  • Evaluate new technologies including artificial intelligence, autonomous agents, sophisticated data analysis, virtual replicas, automation, and optimization capabilities.

  • Provide executive-ready recommendations regarding innovation investments and future capabilities.

  • Influence long-term supply chain strategy through insight into emerging industry trends and disruptive technologies.

  • Lead and develop a small team while using a broad network of virtual contributors across the organization.

  • Success is achieved by crafting a scalable system for innovation throughout the worldwide supply network, through leverage of virtual teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in technology strategy, innovation, digital transformation, advanced analytics, supply chain, or related fields.

  • Experience with artificial intelligence, automation, advanced analytics, digital twins, or other emerging technologies.

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.

  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their business applications.

  • Proven skill in assessing opportunities and formulating data-driven recommendations.

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to influence decision-making without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a comparable field.

  • Experience within supply networks, manufacturing, semiconductor, or operations environments.

  • Experience building innovation programs, communities of practice, or technology incubation efforts.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate new technologies into scalable business capabilities.
