Role: Senior Micro Focus COBOL Developer
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite Role)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:
Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications using Micro Focus COBOL Design and support batch processing programs and file-handling systems on Unix Work extensively in Unix/Linux environments for execution, deployment, and troubleshooting Write and optimize SQL queries for data processing, validation, and integration Perform database interactions from COBOL programs (embedded SQL) Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient COBOL solutions Debug and resolve issues across application, database, and Unix layers Support production systems, incident resolution, and performance tuning Maintain technical documentation and adhere to coding standards.

Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required
