Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Part-Time | Fully Remote | Texas

Location: Remote (Texas-based school district)
Schedule: Part-Time (Approximately 15-20 hours per week)
Employment Type: Contractor

About the Opportunity

MIYO Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide virtual services for a Texas school district during the 2026-2027 school year. This fully remote opportunity offers the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on students with visual impairments.

The selected provider will support a caseload of approximately 22 students, collaborating closely with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive high-quality educational services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct virtual instruction and consultation services to students with visual impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned with each student's IEP.
  • Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, related service providers, and families.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain timely, accurate documentation.
  • Complete required service logs, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with district personnel regarding student needs and progress.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Valid Texas certification as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI).

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
