Job description

Fleet Services is the full-service fleet management organization at Indiana University. We provide vehicle and equipment rentals, leases, maintenance, fueling, and manage micro-transit van services for IU Bloomington, and fleet program assistance for the IU regional campuses. Our team provides safe, reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable transportation solutions for our customers to support the mission of Indiana University (IU).
We also oversee 2 van services for student transportation needs: Accessible Educational Van Services and IU Ride. Our department is a small team with impact on all campuses.
Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Accessible Educational Van Service Driver is responsible for picking up and dropping off students and staff who have been pre-qualified for van service access using minivans and wheelchair accessible vans.
  • Ride schedules are dispatched to drivers via TransLoc on Demand software with pickup and drop off times and locations.
  • Additional duties such as cleaning vehicles, providing shuttle services to staff, or transporting other vehicle types to various locations will be assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required
  • Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire.
OTHER
Required
  • 20 years old to drive.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires stationary positioning for long periods of time. It also requires a valid Unite States driver's license and the ability to be insured by Indiana University. This role requires moving up to 50 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential tasks with or without accommodation.
