Job description

Join Award-winning Chef Roberto Alcocer at Vallé, a Guadalupe Valley Kitchen as hedraws on the traditions of Mexico's renowned wine region and the bounty of local farms and sea food, to create Valle's bold cuisine paired with a selection on Mexican wine, best enjoyed on the seaside dining veranda in the Dining Room which boasts beautiful ocean views. Guest can enjoy an intimate dining experience with a Chef's tasting menu or a la carte, or if is the case of a special celebratory evening up to eight in our private dining room.
This is a full-time, on-site role located at Mission Pacific Beach Resort in Oceanside, CA, for a Server Assistant at Valle, the Michelin Star restaurant. The Server Assistant will provide support to the front-of-house team, ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests. Responsibilities include assisting with table setup, clearing, and resetting, delivering food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations, and adhering to health and safety standards. The individual will also collaborate with servers and restaurant staff to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
Server Assistants will also have the following job responsibilities:
• Assist the Server in service to assigned tables.
• Bus tables and clean work areas as needed.
• Anticipate guest needs and understand when the next course should be presented to the guest.
• Run food from kitchen to table as required.
• Roll silverware & polish glasses as needed.
• Prepare non-alcoholic beverages as requested.
This list is not all-encompassing and that daily work tasks may and can be altered to meet business needs.
The hourly rate for this position is $18.50/hr + tips

  • 1+ years' experience in a medium range to fine dining Food & Beverage role.
  • Outstanding Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Basic knowledge and interest in Food & Beverage services, with a focus on fine dining etiquette.
  • Strong Organization Skills to handle tasks efficiently and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
  • Willingness to participate in Training programs to enhance service skills and adhere to restaurant standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal communication skills.
  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Works well under pressure.
