THE JOB:
Bring your organizational expertise to the center of the action at MGM Grand's Conventions & Banquets, where your attention to detail helps transform ambitious culinary visions into unforgettable experiences. As an Administrative Assistant supporting the Chef Team, you'll keep operations running flawlessly, fuel creative excellence, and play a key role in bringing showstopping events to life for every guest.
THE STARTING RATE: $21.84 Hourly
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Greet visitors and callers and address their needs, answer multi-line phone systems and direct calls to the appropriate staff/department, and respond to all general e-mail correspondence from guests and staff
  • Schedule conference calls and meetings for office staff
  • Compile, copy, sort, file, and scan department documents
  • May prepare departmental reports as needed, perform a variety of administrative tasks, and maintain office equipment as needed and coordinates repairs
  • Work closely with functional department groups as necessary
  • Prepare purchase orders for all goods and services purchased by the department

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting in an administrative role preferred
