High Point Family and Marriage Counseling is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote outpatient therapy team in Champaign, Illinois. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 105,000 annually, plus a sign-on bonus. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in delivering compassionate and culturally sensitive psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, both in-person and through telehealth channels, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assess clientsโ€™ needs and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at addressing mental health issues, relational dynamics, and personal challenges.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, or EMDR, depending on client needs and therapist expertise.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage in regular supervision and professional development opportunities, participating in team meetings and case consultations to enhance clinical skills.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff or interns as needed, fostering a culture of learning within the practice.
  • Actively participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness and improve access to services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients we serve are primarily Latino families, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, and substance use. Your expertise will be crucial in helping them navigate their unique experiences and provide culturally sensitive care that respects individual customs and needs.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Studies, or a related field from an accredited graduate program.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Illinois.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health setting working with children, adults, and families.
  • Demonstrated respect for cultural diversity and sensitivity to individual family needs.
  • Competence in effectively engaging clients from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Evidence of training in CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, or other relevant therapeutic techniques.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as Trauma, LGBTQ+, Grief & Loss, or Perinatal Mental Health.
  • Prior experience working with an insurance panel as an in-network provider.
  • Familiarity with EHR programs and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous telehealth experience utilizing secure platforms for remote sessions.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and car insurance.
