Position Overview

Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a remote setting, allowing you flexibility in managing your work-life balance while still providing face-to-face therapy through telemedicine and occasional in-person sessions at our outpatient office located in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to fostering a supportive and productive team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage actively in Child and Family team meetings, collaborating with fellow therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
  • Conduct thorough client assessments to create individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health needs, ensuring timely updates and adherence to documentation requirements set forth by agency policies and licensing regulations.
  • Maintain stringent confidentiality standards, ensuring the security of client records and adherence to ethical guidelines in therapy.
  • Utilize your expertise to effectively diagnose and treat children and adolescents, employing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Design and implement effective treatment strategies aimed at achieving improved mental health outcomes for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children and adolescents, as well as their families, focusing on a range of mental health challenges. This includes but is not limited to anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and relationship conflicts. Your role will be vital in guiding these clients and their families through complex emotional landscapes, providing essential support and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a current Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or an equivalent field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating capability in providing therapy to individuals and families.
  • A deep understanding of psychological theories and research regarding personality and intellectual development, human motivation, and abnormal behaviors.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in outpatient therapy settings and familiarity with telehealth practices.
  • Proficiency in conducting family therapy sessions and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of local community resources relevant to mental health and family support.
