About the Role:
Pueblita Mexican Restaurant in Upland, CA is looking for passionate and talented Cooks to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook authentic Mexican dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure quality and freshness
  • Assist with food prep including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service during peak hours
  • Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to kitchen management
  • Adapt quickly to high-volume orders while maintaining food quality and consistency
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a cook, line cook, or prep cook preferred
  • Knowledge of Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent quality
