Job description

Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking a Metrology Quality Specialist to support precision inspection, measurement programming, and quality documentation. This role requires hands-on experience with PC-DMIS and Hexagon CMM/metrology equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Contract to Hire OR Direct Hire

Responsibilities

  • Develop, debug, and maintain CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS
  • Operate Hexagon CMM/metrology equipment to support production, first article, and validation inspections
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and specifications
  • Perform inspections and communicate results to engineering and production teams
  • Maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation
  • Support CMM calibration, verification, and gauge R&R studies
  • Assist with APQP, PPAP, FAI, control plans, and inspection plans
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Analyze inspection data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and supplier quality teams
  • Support internal and external quality audits as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS
  • Experience with Hexagon CMM or Hexagon metrology equipment preferred
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5
  • Experience with precision measurement and metrology principles
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models
  • Working knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvement methods
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with clear written and verbal communication skills
