• Deliver comprehensive counseling and psychotherapy services to clients, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.
• Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized and measurable treatment plans, assessing their progress continually to adjust approaches as needed.
• Act as an advocate for clients by connecting them with essential resources including financial aids, housing support, and other critical social services aimed at improving their quality of life.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges, such as suicidal ideation or severe trauma, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at increasing mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with mental illness and treatment.
• Maintain meticulous and compliant case documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, following HIPAA guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Participate in regular training and mentorship opportunities to enhance clinical skills, ensuring you remain at the forefront of best practices in social work.

As an LCSW at Metro Psychotherapy, you will primarily work with clients struggling with mental health and substance use issues. The clientele includes adults in various life stages seeking to overcome personal challenges, mend relationships, and achieve emotional stability and resilience. Your role will be crucial in helping clients develop coping skills and strategies to navigate their unique situations effectively.

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current Oregon LCSW license, permitting you to practice independently.
• A compassionate, client-centered approach to care, demonstrating cultural competence and an understanding of diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for building rapport with clients and collaborative work with the care team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and a proactive attitude towards client care.

• A minimum of two years of direct experience in providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families, particularly within a substance use or mental health treatment context.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care approaches.
