Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial engagements and thorough mental health evaluations, documenting client histories and treatment progress from the outset through completion.
  • Develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of clients, whether working with individuals, couples, families, or groups.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques and interventions to foster healing and growth.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly to ensure effectiveness and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to formulate and implement integrated care plans.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with referring physicians and follow up with clients admitted to hospitals to coordinate care effectively.
  • Identify risk factors and behaviors that could hinder recovery, providing proactive strategies to manage these challenges.
  • Support family members and caregivers in understanding and navigating mental health challenges, fostering a supportive home environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve at Metro West Behavioral Health Center encompass a diverse array of backgrounds and mental health issues. You will work with individuals facing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and stress-related disorders. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE exams.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mental health principles, evidenced by previous counseling experience.

  • Understanding of the impact of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, including substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • Significant clinical experience in a community health setting, particularly working with diverse populations.
  • Experience designing and implementing group therapy programs that cater to various mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medication effects and the ability to collaborate with medical professionals on a comprehensive treatment approach.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
