Some of what you will do:ย ย 

Deliver office supplies on assigned route to Staples customer accounts while meeting internal schedule and quality standards. Provide outstanding delivery service to customers and accept product returns as required.ย Delivery vehicle and all necessary equipment provided by Staples.ย 

Specifically, you will:ย 

  • Prepare for deliveries by gathering appropriate paperwork and performing pre-trip vehicle inspections while reporting any maintenance problems to supervisor.ย ย 

  • Deliver products and accept returns from customers as per their requirements while obtaining signatures and completing all required paperwork.ย 

  • Address and resolve customer feedback and inform supervisor of outstanding issues.ย 

  • Engage in safe work practices and ensure cleanliness of vehicle is maintained.ย

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.ย ย 

  • Minimum of 1-year of truck driving experience of a 16 ft. or longer straightย 

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean 5-year driver's abstract (a.k.a. driving record) that has no "major moving violations" in accordance with applicable provincial law.ย 

  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted; experience using hand truck/dolly preferred.ย ย 

  • Possess good knowledge of metro area, able to navigate and read a map and use mobile Proof-of-Delivery devices.ย 

  • Proficient in customer service, verbal and written communication, problem solving, time management and organization.ย ย 

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting under time constraints.ย
