Position SummaryMonday-Thursday 10:00am-8:45pmThe Cannabis Production Technician is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing and post-harvest operations within a regulated cannabis production facility. This role ensures that cannabis products are produced, handled, and packaged in compliance with company procedures, state regulations, and quality standards. Technicians must maintain strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Perform cannabis production tasks including preparation, processing, packaging, and labeling of cannabis products.· Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements established by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.· Accurately record production data and maintain batch records and inventory tracking using the state seed-to-sale system such as Metrc.· Weigh, measure, and package cannabis products according to established specifications.· Maintain clean and sanitary workstations in accordance with company housekeeping standards.· Conduct routine quality checks to ensure product consistency and compliance.· Assist with equipment setup, operation, and cleaning.· Properly label products and verify batch information.· Follow all workplace safety procedures including proper PPE use.· Assist with inventory counts and material handling.· Report equipment issues, product discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervisors.· Maintain confidentiality and security of cannabis products and company information.Required Qualifications· Must be 21 years of age or older.· High school diploma or equivalent.· Ability to pass required state background checks.· Ability to follow detailed instructions and regulatory procedures.· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.· Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Preferred Qualifications· Previous experience in cannabis production, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or similar regulated industries.· Experience with Metrc or other inventory tracking systems.· Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Physical Requirements· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.· Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.· Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms.· Ability to work in environments with strong plant aromas.Work Environment· Production facility environment with exposure to cannabis plant materials and manufacturing equipment.· Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.Compliance RequirementsEmployees must comply with all state cannabis regulations, company security policies, and facility procedures established by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.
