Job description

Job Description: 

The Vanpool Intern will assist the department with day-to-day duties as needed, such as performing annual vehicle site inspections of 400 vehicles at offsite locations and preparing follow-up reports to send to customers. The Intern will assist with other projects to create and update department documents and data collection spreadsheets for operational functions. Essential functions include: 

  1. Conducting and assisting with vehicle inspections using FastField mobile application, which involves driving and creating follow-up emails to document and communicate results. 
  2. Assisting with creating and maintaining spreadsheets for data collection and the Contraction Information Collection Project.
  3. Assisting with updating non-traditional groups' monthly reports, ridership logs, and expense forms.
  4. Assisting with traditional groups' Route Sheet Project.
  5. Assisting with other projects as assigned.  

Internship Duration: 

Monday, June 1, 2026 - Friday, August 14, 2026

Hours Per Week: 

Up to 37.5 Hours Per Week

Rate of Pay: 

$21/hr

Working Conditions: 

This position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. However, the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays.

 This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting. 

Qualifications

Age: 

Must be 18 years of age or older. 

Certifications: 

Must possess a valid Driver's License with a good driving record history.

Education: 

High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university and working towards a degree in General Education, Business, Communications, Psychology, or other related field. 

Proficiencies: 

Must demonstrate working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Customer service and FastField mobile application experience are preferred.

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to sit for extended periods of time, frequently stand and/or walk within an office environment, lift and carry up to 25lbs, use a keyboard and type for prolonged periods.
