This role will focus on optimizing production processes, improving equipment uptime, reducing waste, and implementing best practices through Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering foundation, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a passion for improving operational efficiency through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize machine centerline settings, operating parameters, and production setpoints to improve throughput, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on changeover reduction, sanitation efficiency, tooling optimization, and workflow improvements
  • Analyze equipment performance metrics, downtime data, and CMMS records to identify trends, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Improve equipment reliability and reduce scrap through enhanced preventive maintenance strategies and asset management practices
  • Partner closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to strengthen PM programs, repair procedures, and equipment performance
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and Commissioning, Validation, and Startup (CVS) activities
  • Identify and implement automation, process control, and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Develop and standardize technical documentation, operating procedures, and OEM/vendor support materials
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for equipment manufacturers and service providers
  • Coach and mentor cross-functional teams in defect elimination, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Drive initiatives that improve safety, productivity, quality, and operational reliability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 2-5 years of experience in Process Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Continuous Improvement roles
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing CMMS, production data, and performance metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with SAP, PLC-controlled equipment, AutoCAD (or similar CAD software), and manufacturing systems integration
  • Working knowledge of packaging equipment, processing equipment, and plant operations
  • Experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or high-speed manufacturing environments preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and deliver measurable operational improvements
