Position Summary
We are seeking a Wellfield Technician who will report to the Wellfield Supervisor and will be responsible for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the gas collection and control system (GCCS). The GCCS consists of a series of extraction points, known as wells, that are interconnected via piping. Proper operation of the GCCS is required to comply with State and Federal environmental regulations. Most of day will be spent in the field maintaining the GCCS.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monthly wellfield monitoring.
  • Liquid level measurements in Gas Extraction Wells.
  • Pneumatic pump troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Conduct routine blower and flare operations.
  • Monitor perimeter probes.
  • Manage and interpret data from wellfield extraction locations.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements and ensure that health and safety standards are followed by on-site staff and sub-contractors.
  • Available for on-call response to a GCCS related malfunction event.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Prior industry experience preferred/ a plus, however we provide comprehensive training for motivated individuals with transferable skills.
  • Ability to operate a pickup truck and ATV.
  • Background check and clean drug screen required.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work independently, outdoors approximately 90% of each workday. Work environment involves exposure to dirt, odors, noise, high traffic, heavy equipment, and weather extremes.
  • Must possess effective organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to handle objects up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
  • Ability to walk over steep and rough terrain daily.
  • Possess intermediate mechanical and computer skills.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license, without any restrictions.
Work Hours and Arrangements
Monday - Friday; 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
On call; overtime; weekend availability - every other week.
This role requires the successful candidate to be located within no more than a 1 hour driving distance of the assigned Wellfield location to support on-site operational needs, emergency response, and routine field coordination.

Position requires physical effort such as that associated with driving a motorized vehicle, operating an ATV, using hand tools, and typing on a computer. Position requires moderate lifting (10-50 lbs.), occasional need to walk on irregular surfaces, and occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching.

Pay
The range for this role is anticipated to be $28.00-$33.00 hourly with bonus for eligible positions. Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting. The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market / business considerations, and geographic location.
