Job description

Job Title: Journeyman Sheet Metal Installer

Pay: $25–$32/hr

Industry: Commercial HVAC & Mechanical Construction

Overview

Hiring experienced Sheet Metal Journeymen for commercial HVAC projects. This role includes duct installation, fabrication, blueprint reading, and leading small crews when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Install rectangular, round, spiral, rigid, and flex duct systems
  • Install air handlers, ductless systems, and related HVAC components
  • Install hangers, Uni-Strut, and support systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Measure, cut, and fabricate sheet metal as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Lead small crews and help keep projects on schedule
Requirements
  • 5+ years of sheet metal installation experience
  • Commercial HVAC experience required
  • Experience with duct installation and sheet metal fabrication
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
  • Experience using sheet metal hand tools and fabrication equipment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must provide own sheet metal tools
Preferred
  • Foreman or crew leadership experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Trade school or apprenticeship completion

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
