Description
Hadco Metal Trading, a long-stable and globally recognized distributor of semi-finished metals and plastics, is looking to hire an experienced Shipping & Inventory Office Clerk to join their small, yet mighty evening office team and help support the day-to-day operations of their Bakersfield facility.
Job Summary:
The Shipping & Inventory Office Clerk will sit in the office, as much of their work is clerical, with regular trips out to the warehouse to verify orders, stock etc.
Work Schedule:
3:00pm-11:00pm Tue- Fri
8:00am-5:00pm Saturday

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Review sales orders and verify accuracy to pick tickets.
  • Recognize discrepancies and research to ensure accurate and timely shipment of material orders to customers.
  • Prepare packing slips, list items sold, amount due, and date of shipment.
  • Expedite orders to meet promised delivery dates.
  • Adjust inventory balances in ERP system to reflect orders shipped and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Examine outgoing packing slips to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Compile data to track unfilled orders.
  • Compare and maintain accurate physical inventory to ERP and office records.
  • Investigate discrepancies and document cause and resolution.
  • Ensure certifications meet material specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience with Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, and/or Inventory processes.
  • Ability and commitment to research and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy of all material shipped.
  • Possess basic math skills including measuring - fractions and decimals.
  • Basic computer knowledge with ERP systems.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
