Job Description:

SSR Mining is seeking highly motivated undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields to join our Metallurgy Department for a full-time, paid internship during Summer 2026.

The program will run from May through August, with flexibility on start and end dates based on student availability and business needs. This is an on-site position based at our Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine in Cripple Creek, CO.

Day to Day:

  • Support daily operations of the metallurgical laboratory and assist with ongoing technical projects.

  • Perform sample preparation, conduct process tests, collect and enter data, and contribute to report writing and analysis.

  • Collaborate with metallurgists and other technical team members to solve real-world challenges.

  • Gain exposure to other functional areas within the Metallurgy Department through potential cross-training opportunities.

Is this You?

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.

  • Majoring in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

  • Capable of conducting technical research and producing clear, concise documentation.

  • Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
