Position Type: Full Time


Position Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, increasing sales volume, and promoting Tri-State Metal Roofing Supply products and services within an assigned territory.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory

  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and objectives

  • Conduct regular customer visits and jobsite visits

  • Prepare and present sales proposals and product presentations

  • Promote all company products and services

  • Follow up on customer quotes and sales opportunities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and plans as needed

  • Assist customers with product selection and technical information

  • Collaborate with plant managers and inside sales staff to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Resolve customer concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Maintain accurate customer records and activity notes within CRM system

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and industry developments

  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer functions as required

  • Maintain positive customer satisfaction and relations

  • Effectively manage territory, schedule, and travel

  • Maintain company vehicle and equipment in a safe and professional manner, if applicable

  • Continuously develop product knowledge and become an expert in the metal roofing industry

  • Local travel – assigned local territory/region

  • Other duties that may be assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of B2B outside sales experience

  • Experience in the roofing and/or construction industry preferred

  • Ability to build relationships and close sales

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated with strong time management and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

  • Willingness to learn and become an expert in the metal roofing industry

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
