Schedule & Training

First 3 Weeks – Training:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

After Training – Regular Shift:
Monday–Friday | 5:00 PM–1:30 AM
Overtime available as needed

Candidates must be available for the initial three weeks of day training and transition to the regular night shift upon completion of training.


About the Position

Customer Driven Staffing is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Overhead Crane Operator for a busy metal industry operation in Broward County, FL.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the metal industry and hands-on experience with welding, torching, burner/furnace operations, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery.

Previous overhead crane experience is preferred, but candidates with strong metal industry experience who are willing to learn may be considered.


Job Description

The Overhead Crane Operator will operate a remote-controlled overhead crane to safely move, load, unload, and position heavy metal materials throughout the facility and onto trucks.

This position requires strong attention to safety, the ability to work around heavy machinery, and the ability to follow detailed operating procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a remote-controlled overhead crane to safely move and load metal materials
  • Load and unload metal products from warehouse racks and trucks
  • Properly position and secure metal materials for transportation
  • Follow all crane operating procedures and facility safety protocols
  • Perform equipment and safety inspections
  • Report equipment problems, unsafe conditions, or damaged materials immediately
  • Work with warehouse and production personnel to coordinate material movement
  • Assist with general warehouse and metal processing duties when not operating the crane
  • Safely work around heavy machinery, metal materials, and industrial equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and management


Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:

Qualifications

  • Must speak and understand English and be able to follow safety instructions
  • Previous experience in the metal or industrial industry strongly preferred
  • Welding, torching, furnace, burner, or heavy equipment experience preferred
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to work around heavy metal materials and industrial equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Must be willing to complete intensive crane training
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse duties
  • Must be available for the 3-week day training schedule
  • Must be willing to transition to the 5:00 PM–1:30 AM night shift
  • Must be available for overtime as required
  • Must pass a background check, drug test, and E-Verify requirements
