We are a metal's distributor specializing in Hot Roll, Cold Roll, and Coated Carbon Flat Roll Steel and Aluminum Products. Serving a wide range of industries, we pride ourselves on delivering the right materials and first-class service. We are seeking a driven, results-oriented, relationship building Outside Sales Representative.

Job Summary:

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with customers, and driving sales growth for our range of flat roll metal products. The ideal candidate will have a book of trusted clients with strong relationships, and a deep understanding of the metal's industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Identify new sales opportunities by understanding customer needs, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Promote and sell Carbon Flat Roll Steel Products (Hot Roll, Cold Roll, and Coated), possibly some Aluminum or Stainless to stampers, roll formers, OEMs and other manufactures in various industries.
  • Provide technical expertise on product offerings, helping customers select the right materials for their applications.
  • Communicate challenges and build relationships with members of the team.
  • Prepare and deliver sales quotes and pricing to customers.
  • Negotiate terms of sales, manage orders, and ensure customer satisfaction through consistent follow-ups and communication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Inside Sales, logistics, quality, and purchasing to ensure timely deliveries and fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Stay informed of market changes, competitor activities, and pricing fluctuations to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage sales pipeline, track leads, and report on sales activities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in outside sales, within the flat roll metals industry.
  • Established client portfolio with strong relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
