Job Summary:
Scalence L.L.C. is a technology company focused on developing innovative environments and applications. They are seeking a GIS Analyst to support geospatial data quality assurance and compliance validation for a maps platform, ensuring high accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities:
• Review and resolve geospatial data submissions that fail automated QA/QC pipelines.
• Validate schema mismatches, formatting issues, and spatial inaccuracies using GIS tools.
• Edit and annotate spatial features using imagery, map layers, and device signal data.
• Perform quality assurance and sign-off of map builds, feature updates, and daily production outputs.
• Deliver and document accuracy ratings of 95%+ across 50–300 edited features per day.
• Interpret planimetric features (e.g., roads, stop signs, signals) using aerial imagery and multiple data sources.
• Track task progress, maintain documentation/metadata, and escalate data or tool issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support peer reviews and workflow improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years of experience in a GIS data quality, editing, or mapping production environment.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar spatial data platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of geospatial formats (GeoJSON, shapefiles, KML) and schema validation principles.
• Ability to recognize and interpret spatial features in imagery and derive accurate annotations.
• Applicants must be able to work directly on W2.
Preferred:
• Demonstrated ability to follow and question complex procedural instructions with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-accuracy data.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team coordination and issue documentation.
